Step Outside to Excitement
Cradled in a bend of the Ogeechee River, Coleman Lake Campground offers excellent fishing for redbreast, bluegill, shellcracker, and catfish. Enjoy nature and Georgia history when you visit the Dime Museum, go hunting, play golf, and hike the nature trails. Lots to do – just do it!
Coleman Lake
Coleman Lake has 15 acres of excellent fishing and is open year round. Check the Fishing Times report to see when those wily fish are biting the best.
Ogeechee River
The 250-mile long Ogeechee River flows all the way to Savannah and is one of the last un-dammed rivers in Georgia. Hike the trails to enjoy pristine nature, including wildlife, fish, and cypress trees.
Di-Lane Wildlife Management Area
Open to seasonal hunting, Di-Lane WMA in nearby Waynesboro is 8,100 acres of federally owned land. Outdoor enthusiasts can find plenty to do on this wildlife habitat. Hunting opportunities include deer, turkey, small game and furbearers, dove, quail and waterfowl.
Southern Hills Golf Club
Middle Georgia’s best golf value is in nearby Hawkinsville. Play 18 holes on rolling greens, visit the Pro Shop, ask about lessons, practice your swing on the driving range, have dinner and drinks at the Bar & Grill, and book tee-times on line.

Real Moonshine made the old-time way in a 200 gallon copper still. This is a small batch craft distillery making spirits from locally grown corn and wheat. You can have three ½ ounce samples for free.
